Beth Keating looks at our other E-Fest discussion ...

The field of digital arts is becoming a rapidly formidable form within the arts industry. It's broad scope and seemingly endless limitations are attracting emerging artists as a platform for their creativity as well as the eyes of big business and media. It's not only these reasons that make the field an extremely exciting topic of discussion. Digital arts is, in itself, still in the process of its own evolution, meaning we as artists are not only involved in witnessing this process, but also in the forms of its very creation. Unlike other forms or creative movements, digital arts not only provides a platform for expression, but manages to easily cross the line that so often divides art and profitability, expression and business. Uniquely, it also blurs the lines between reality, surrealism and virtual existence. For the first time in history it can be said with truth that anything is possible...

Partaking in this discussion will be a plethora of industry experts. Join Julian Stadon, a participant in the ANAT mentorship program; Jason Hill, videogame journalist for the Age and SMH; the team from ABC's Good Game program, Janet 'Syd' Carr, Maurice 'Moe' Branscombe, Jeremy 'Junglist' Ray and Steven O'Donnell and more as we delve into the new frontier.
