What you should and shouldn't be saying to our writers.

The great thing about Vibewire.net is it gives writers the chance to both showcase their work and subject it to the constructive criticism and feedback of their peers. For creative writers, the response of their readers and their fellow writers is one of the most valuable processes that allows for growth in their work. A forum like this provides an incredibly valuable and unique resource for young writers. Please, if you are going to comment on a writer's work, make it constructive. It helps no one to post derogatory comments on work. It is upsetting and discouraging to the writer and it makes Vibewire an uncomfortable place to create - which is exactly what we don't want it to be.

If you have nothing helpful, positive, encouraging, intelligent, insightful or constructive to say - then don't say it. It is as simple as that. No one is demanding you like a piece of work, no one is demanding you dislike a piece of work. But you have a responsibility as a reader who has chosen to comment, to explain your opinion in a polite and informative manner.

If you are a writer who has received disparaging or unnecessarily upsetting comments about your work, please email the team at create@vibewire.net
