What we've loved, what we want, and what's in it for you ...

Hope everybody had a lovely Easter break, and took the no doubt well deserved time off to channel the creativity and produce some mind blowing submissions for Vibewire ... riiiight?

We had some absolutely beautiful things come in last week - the poets win out in the submissions stakes, you guys were on fire. We really enjoyed reading the work that came in, so don't stop now. And the people who chose to submit their responses to the trigger word Drunk, produced some great stuff.

Word of the Week ... (well, Phrase of the Week)

"What Have I Done?"

We've gone for a phrase this week - use it to literally start your piece, or use it simply as something to respond to. Give us a scene of dialogue, a vignette, a poem, a short story, a work of short fiction, prose or narrative. Vibewire is your oyster.

A New Round Up is On the Way ...

If you have anything you want the creative community to know, please email create@vibewire.net . Festivals, readings, seminars, competitions ... you know the drill.

Your Helpful (and very brief) Writing Hint

... comes from Aristotle's Poetics this week.

"... of simple plots and actions, the episodic are the worst. By episodic, I mean a plot in which the episode follows one another without probability or necessity."

Other Things Happening, Just Around the Corner

E-Festival is back, and Creative will soon become a week long forum for discussion on two key topics (to be unveiled very soon) - over the next week or so, news and information regarding what's going on and how you can (and must) participate. It will be worth your while.

Creative is looking to launch a new design layout, so stay tuned - and if you have any ideas/suggestions/comments, please let us know at create@vibewire.net

That's all from us for now, here's to another week of fantastic submissions

Love,

The Creative Team
