Being a night owl is downright delighting;

We work in the shadow of darkness almighty,

Sugar with caffeine for high stimulation,

We the freakish nocturnal, secret kings of all nations.

We hit your keys and we hammer your hard drives,

From Sydney to Saigon and even the Maldives.

With word-weapon podcasts and video diaries,

We deal with the devil and he’s constantly hiring.

So while you daydream, at the toil of your choosing,

Remember us night owls, diligently snoozing;

And pray to your gods ‘pon the hour of our waking,

For your dreams are ours, and their ours for the taking.
