The Max Afford Playwrights’ Award 2008

This Award was established with a view to promote greater interest in Australian drama. It is hoped this will inspire young writers to create more plays and keep writing!

This year the winner of the Max Afford Playwrights' Award will receive:
* $7,500 cash prize; and
* expenses to a maximum of $2,500 for registration, accommodation and airline tickets to attend a reading of the winning play at the annual Australian National Playwrights' Conference following the announcement of the winner.
