Vibewire.net is a project of non-profit youth media and arts organisation Vibewire Inc and is designed to provide young Australians with a forum where they can comment on matters pertinent to their lives. In our society where the local media is inaccessible to most young people, vibewire.net seeks to offer an alternative channel for youth expression, for those who are creative, political, or just plain interested. Our goal is to engage young people in active citizenship through their involvement with local arts, culture, politics, current affairs, poetry, fiction, ideas and beliefs. The website is run for youth by youth and relies on your participation and active involvement to work. You can submit an article, write blogs, or provide us with images, video or podcast material. Simply follow the link below to learn how to join and become a member. http://www.vibewire.net/system/help/how-to/joining-and-submitting-written-content

Otherwise you can email me, the site's content co-ordinator with ideas, pitches, or if you are interested in volunteering for us: content@vibewire.net

The site is structured around points of youth interest and participation. LIFE is the lifestyle and culture section. Here you will find everything from film and gig reviews to local supermarket etiquette. PULSE is where articles on politics are found. These cover issues that are local, national and international, as well as significant political literature. CREATE is the creative writing section. Here you will find the poetry and fictional contributions of our local youth. As well as the three major sections, we want to encourage youth involvement through the BLOGS, POLLS and FORUMS. We are here to build a youth community so if there is an issue that you want raised than this is the place to do it. At the moment any video contributions made are found on the HOMEPAGE, which serves as a sampler of the works from all the sections. The site is an expression of what we think you want it to be, so if you love it let us know! Similarly, if you want changes made we want to be told.

Much love, Anna, your content coordinator.
