Right Now is a Vibewire project. It is a media/arts competition for Victorians aimed at raising awareness about the Victorian Charter of Human Rights. Right Now allows young people to respond to and engage with the charter through a variety of creative forms including film, podcast, writing (essay) and design.

THEY’RE YOUR RIGHTS, WHAT DO THEY MEAN TO YOU?

  • The Victorian Charter of Human Rights comes into effect this year and Right Now is looking for young media makers, artists, and writers between the ages of 15 and 29 to express their thoughts, feelings and ideas about human rights.
  • We’re looking for the best entries in the areas of film, pod casts, creative essay and design.
  • Perhaps you would like to visually represent freedom of expression, maybe make a documentary on a person who has escaped a situation where they were not guaranteed human rights, maybe you feel that there is not enough done to ensure we can exercise these right and would like to write about it…
  • Be bold, be creative and enter Right Now to get your work and your opinions out there.
  • Your audience and judges are, like you, young people who are switched on and want to hear what you have to say.
  • All entries will be uploaded onto Vibewire.net where visitors to the site will vote for their favourite film, essay, design and podcast.
  • The entry from each of category with the most votes wins.
  • The winning entrants will not just have their work shown on Vibewire.net; with our partners in the media industry we will get your work out there to inspire thousands.
